Plan of Salvation

God loves you.

God created you, knows all about you and loves you. He loves you so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for you. (Psalm 139, John 3:16)

Sin separates you from God.

Your thoughts, words and sinful actions separate you from God. (Rom 3:23, 6:23)

Jesus saves you.

Jesus was born, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for your sins, was buried and rose again so that you can have a personal relationship with God. You can not do anything to earn God's salvation; it is a gift from God for you.

(Rom 5:8, Eph. 2:8-9)

Recive Jesus.

God wants a personal relationship with you. He paved the way for you by sending His Son Jesus Christ; you can have a relationship with Jesus by repenting, turning away from your sins and putting your faith and trust in Christ and what He did for you on the cross. (Rom 10:9-10,13)

Baptism

North Merida Baptist Church understands baptism as a symbolic identification of the believer with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus (Rom 4:6). Baptism is performed by immersion as an act of obedience for those who have put their faith and trust in Christ.
Although that baptism is not necessary for salvation, it is crucial in the process of discipleship of the believer.
