Missionary Larry Allred is the founding pastor of North Merida Baptist Church.
Upon arriving in Merida in 2000 the Allred family began a home Bible study. They purchased the building where the church currently meets today, and held the Grand Opening Service on September of 2001. Larry and Tammy have four adult children and nine grandchildren.
PURPOSE OF THE CHURCH
North Merida Baptist Church exists in regard to:
Our Lord Jesus Christ: To obey, honor, glorify, exalt and praise His name, and accept Him as Savior and Lord.
Our Brothers & Sisters in Christ: To build, minister, teach, care for, and love with the love of Christ.
The work of the church: To evangelize, teach, obey the two ordinances (Baptism and Lord's Supper), and equip those called by God to be pastors or missionaries.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

WHAT WE BELIEVE ABOUT
God
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe and has existed eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. These three are equal and are one God in three persons.
Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is the Son of God, equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended into heaven and will return again to earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.
The Bible
The Bible is the Word of God for us, was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because it is inspired by God, it is truth without any mixture of error.
Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is equal with the Father and the Son of God. It is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation.
Salvation
We believe that all men by nature, choice and practice are sinful "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
John 3:16. We believe, therefore, that those who by faith receive Christ as Lord and Savior will rejoice forever in God's presence and those who refuse to receive Christ as Lord and Savior will be separated from God forever.
Eternal Security
Because God gives us eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Salvation can not be lost. Salvation is obtained and maintained by the grace and power of God.
Eternity
People were created to exist forever, exist separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. Eternal separation from God is hell. The eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and hell are real places of eternal existence.
